What Makes Our Hay A Cut Above

01

Healthy Soil

The quality of our hay starts with the soil it’s grown in. We maintain healthy, nutrient-rich soil through sustainable farming practices, ensuring that our hay is packed with the vitamins and minerals your livestock needs. By focusing on soil health, we produce hay that’s not only nutritious but also supports the long-term fertility of our fields, ensuring ongoing quality for years to come

03

Soft Hay - Never Stiff

Our hay is carefully monitored during the drying process to achieve the ideal moisture content, ensuring the hay remains soft and pliable. Reducing the formation of brittle, sharp stems that can cause discomfort or digestive issues for your livestock. Soft, supple hay is not only easier for animals to chew and digest but also helps improve feed intake and overall nutrient absorption, leading to healthier, more productive livestock

02

Harvested At The Perfect Time

We harvest our hay at its peak maturity, capturing the optimal balance of nutrients, fiber, and energy. Cutting at the right time ensures higher levels of digestible protein and energy. This attention to timing also helps to minimize lignin content, making our hay more palatable and easier to digest

04

Consistency

From the field to the bale, we’ve refined our processes to ensure that each batch of hay meets our standards. We use precise, uniform harvesting techniques along with a controlled curing and drying process, producing bales with uniform density. Before any bale leaves our farm, it undergoes a series of quality checks to ensure that it meets our standards. We check for proper moisture levels, uniform texture, and absence of contaminants, so you can trust that every bale is as good as the last

"Tom and his group are the best at what they do!!!! I started getting our horses feed from them approximately 17 years ago, I was impressed then and 17 years later I am still impressed now at how courteous and profession that they are. You can't find better people, products and feed for your animals."

"I've done business with Tom and his crew for at least 20 years. You will not find a more honest and down to earth man. His crew is top notch. Willing to help and load your feed how ever you want it. I'm moving to Arizona and don't know how I'm going to replace Tom's hay farm."

"Amazing! The staff is so friendly and knowledge and Tom himself is always willing to answer questions. No doubt the best hay in Southern California. Say goodbye to choppy, short, old and dusty hay. I can't say enough about the quality and variety."
